It is not too early to start preparing for the beautiful winter holidays and for the invaluable moments spent with loved ones. So today we will cook homemade pretzels together, a culinary dish that will delight both adults and children.

The unique shape, the unforgettable taste and the ease of preparation, transform these homemade pretzels into an appetizer that should not be missing from our kitchen. The golden and crispy exterior contrasts perfectly with the white and fluffy interior of these homemade pretzels, in this way they turn into the ideal appetizer.

Every time we want to "chew" something or when we have guests, these homemade pretzels will help us to offer a healthy and extremely tasty snack. Homemade pretzels can be prepared at any time of the year, not just around the holidays.

If we don't have that special shape, we can also make pretzels by hand, we just have to be very careful. Various ingredients (salt, poppy, sesame, parmesan, honey, nuts, sugar) can be sprinkled on top of these pretzels, depending on the taste desired by each one.

Step 1 - take a container in which we put warm water, then add salt, sugar and yeast. Stir, using your hand, until all these ingredients dissolve.

Step 2 - add flour and start kneading. We can use more flour, depending on the type of flour we use or depending on how consistent our dough is.

Step 3 - after we finish making the dough, put it in the fridge for about 20 minutes.

Step 4 - take the dough from the refrigerator and spread it on a "bed" of flour, trying to get a thickness of 0.5 cm. After we spread the dough, using the form for pretzels, we start making homemade pretzels (also called pretzel or pretzel).

Step 5 - take a tray and start placing each pretzel on it. Then, with the help of a brush, grease each pretzel with oil. Above the pretzels we start sprinkling sea salt crystals and then put the tray in the oven heated to 180 degrees.

After about 20 minutes we check them and if we think they are done we take them out of the oven. Personally, I prefer these pretzels to be crispier (ie more crispy) and for this reason I leave them in the oven until they catch a darker, golden crust.

Important: over these pretzels we can sprinkle everything we want, both cheese or Parmesan, and poppy or sesame. The only important thing to keep in mind is to grease the pretzels with oil. It depends only on everyone's tastes and desires, when "decorating" homemade pretzels.
